The pen is a marvellous piece of craftsmanship and it deserves its reputation. The reservoir is very easy and clean to refill and the ink lasts for a long time. The nib is beautifully engraved and writes very smoothly. A lifelong ambition fulfilled.

Je l'avais juste imaginé plus lourd ,sinon ,c'est vraiment de la belle ouvrage ! un rêve de gamine qui ne regarde pas le temps passer.

This was purchased as a gift for my son and there was a substantial eduction of £70 (approx) compared to MontBlanc outlets. However, this is a luxury item and needs to be guaranteed as such. The booklet that came with it was not stamped with the purchase details that are required to ensure your guarantee is covered. Also MontBlanc offer a free of charge nib change within six weeks of purchase and only as a gesture of goodwill accepted the pen for such along with the Amazon invoice. Apparently there is some ongoing dispute between Amazon and MontBlanc as the latter do not want their product undercut and sold this way. I'm very satisfied with the pen and it was the genuine article but beware regarding guarantees and afterservice as MontBlanc could very well refuse to cover you.
